Reflections Program

Each Fall, students at WES are invited to participate in Reflections which is a National PTA sponsored art education program.

Reflections is America’s oldest and largest arts education program of its kind. The program goal is to encourage students to explore their talents and express themselves. Reflections inspires students to reflect on a specific theme, chosen each year by the National PTA, and create original artwork.

Each year, students are recognized for bringing the chosen theme to life through film production, dance choreography, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.  The theme this year is “What is your story?” and children from any grade can enter in as many categories as they wish. There is also a category for children in Special Education.  Entries are due by October 21st and can be left in the office with an entry form.  Forms MUST be legible and contain child’s full name, teacher/grade, phone number/email, and parent signature.  An artists’ statement is also required to be attached to the artwork.  Please have the artwork signed in by a parent on the registration form at the drop-off point.
